I found this section very eye-opening. From what I've learned here, I'm trying to place myself in my future learner's shoes. The strategies for working with an adult learner is so progressive from how I've been taught throughout my life. I think it will be exciting and challenging to work with someone else who may have a completely different style of learning and who has a life full of experiences and knowledge from whom I can learn also. This section makes me excited to get started.
This section gives me courage and hope that I can make a difference in someone's life.
This section did a great job setting the stage. I like having the links to the additional resources. I am really looking forward to this!

This was really interesting to do because I realized from doing the True False check list that I new more than I though about adult education. Sometimes ones confidence wavers when you realize that you have such a big responsibility and that someone is depending on you.

100% on the quiz. Good! I like to know that I am doing well but my success academically will not be discussed with my learner! If asked about my grades in school, I will side step the question and talk about things that have been hard for me to do and move into asking them what is hard for them. It's all about the learner.
Yay--I learned a lot and the self-check is quite useful.
Learners vary and so do tutors. We are all human. Get to know your learner, be prepared to help them meet their goals as you guide them towards leasrning using relevant materials, use humor, and be flexible for emergencies.
I've learned a lot of information in this section. I've learned to be mindful of my own learning style so that I don't indirectly hurt the learning ability of my learner. Understanding my learning style will help me understand their's better.

The varied types of learning styles are attributed to students and tutors alike. The tutor needs to tailor their style to the style of the student. This will be a learning process for both concerned throughout the multiple sessions.
